Programs
For those who have some kayak experience and are ready to paddle the Rivanna River. THIS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS.
Take a leisurely float down the Rivanna River from Crofton to Palmyra. Guided by an experienced Fluvanna Parks and Recreation River Guide.
Kayak, paddle and life-jacket (PFD) provided. Paddling experience required. You must be able to swim, there is always the possibility of going overboard when kayaking. You must be able to carry one end of a boat and assist in lifting it onto a trailer.
Please wear appropriate water clothing or swimsuit and river shoes (No Crocs!).
Insect repellent, sunblock and a hat recommended. Bring two full water bottles (32 oz.), lunch and a snack.
